2. About Builder's Mate

Builder's Mate is an online platform that connects construction professionals with building material suppliers. We facilitate the submission of material requests and the collection of competitive bids from verified suppliers.

Important:Builder's Mate acts as an intermediary platform only. We do not sell materials directly, and any contract for the supply of materials is between you and the supplier.

3. Using Our Service

Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a UK resident or have a UK delivery address
  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Use the service for legitimate business purposes

Your responsibilities

When using our platform, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your material requirements
  • Not submit fraudulent or misleading requests
  • Respond to suppliers in a professional manner
  • Not use the platform to gather supplier information for purposes other than obtaining quotes
  • Keep your contact details up to date

4. Accessing Our Site

Our site is made available free of charge. We do not guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will always be available or uninterrupted. Access is permitted on a temporary basis. We may suspend, withdraw, discontinue or change all or any part of our site without notice.

You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary to access our site and for ensuring that anyone who accesses our site through your connection is aware of these terms and complies with them.

5. Submitting Requests

When you submit a request through our platform:

  • Your contact details and request information will be shared with relevant suppliers
  • Suppliers may contact you directly regarding your request
  • You are not obligated to accept any bids you receive
  • Requests cannot be cancelled once submitted

6. Bids and Transactions

Bids submitted by suppliers are valid for the duration specified. When the bidding period ends, we will notify you of the winning bid.

Important:Any transaction you enter into with a supplier is solely between you and that supplier. Builder's Mate is not a party to any such transaction and is not responsible for:

  • The quality, safety, or legality of materials supplied
  • The accuracy of supplier listings or bids
  • The ability of suppliers to fulfil orders
  • Any disputes between you and suppliers

7. Your Account and Password

If you are provided with a password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must keep it confidential. We may disable any password or access at any time if we reasonably believe you have failed to comply with these terms. If you know or suspect that anyone else knows your password, you must promptly notify us via our contact page.

8. Intellectual Property

We are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright and other laws. All such rights are reserved.

You may print off one copy and download extracts of any page(s) for your personal use. You must not modify any materials you have printed or downloaded, and you must not use any part of the content for commercial purposes without a licence from us or our licensors. Our status (and that of any identified contributors) as authors of content on our site must always be acknowledged.

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all conditions, warranties, representations or other terms which may apply to our site or any content on it. We will not be liable for any loss or damage (whether in contract, tort, breach of statutory duty or otherwise) arising in connection with: use of or inability to use our site; use of or reliance on any content on our site; any goods or services ordered as a result of a request posted on our site; loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity (where you use the site for commercial purposes); or any indirect or consequential loss or damage.

We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a virus, denial-of-service attack or other technologically harmful material that may infect your equipment or data due to your use of our site or any site linked to it.
